Becky Lynn (Little Thunder) Gibson passed away on April 16, 2025, at the age of 44. She was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, on December 30, 1980, and lived most of her life in Oklahoma, with some short stints in Kansas, South Dakota, and Florida.
Becky kicked off her career in the casino industry in 2000, starting as a waitress at Thunderbird Casino. She worked various positions in several casinos throughout Oklahoma, wrapping up her time at the Black Hawk Casino where she loved to tease her cousin and co-workers daily.
Becky was famous for her infectious laughter and playfulness, and even more so for her loyalty to her family and friends. Her children were her world: her son, Steven, and daughter, Ashley, who passed away too soon, and her younger daughters, Brianna and Sophia. In her final days, Becky focused on the well-being of her daughters. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, who loved spending time with her family and cheering for the University of Oklahoma.
Becky was preceded in death by her mother, Tina Little Thunder Hines and stepfather, John Hines; Charles Gibson (father of Steven and Ashley); son, Steven Abeita, and daughter, Ashley Abeita; maternal grandparents, John and Frances McKinney, and niece, Alexandria Lynn.
Becky leaves behind her husband, Porfirio (Pete) Luna Jr.; daughters, Brianna Boyles and Sophia Luna; sister, Jenny Little Thunder-Duty; brothers, Jason Little Thunder and David Little Thunder; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
A celebration of life will be held at noon on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 708 N. Madeline Dr., Shawnee, Oklahoma.
