Barbara Ann Mundt

Barbara Ann Mundt, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, passed away August 15, 2024, at the age of 73. She was born in Stilwell, Oklahoma, on November 6, 1950, to Henry Calvin Milligan and Gladys Jesse (Jonston) Milligan.

Barbara worked as a waitress for 60 years. She had worked for various restaurants to include Denny’s Restaurant and Harley’s Café in Choctaw, Oklahoma, the last fifteen years until November of 2023. Working and raising her children were her passions. She was a strong woman who believed “you don’t depend on anyone”. In 1991 she married Lawrence Mundt in Oklahoma City.

Barbara was preceded in death by husband, Lawrence Mundt; parents, Calvin and Gladys Milligan; daughter, Bobby Jo Wilson; grandson, Darrell; brothers: Sam Pierson, Mackie Milligan, Henry Milligan, Jimmy Milligan, Charles Milligan; sisters: Daisy Neff, Georgia Miller, Vadia Ross, Sadie Cox.

Barbara is survived by sons, Kelly Joe and Joe Wilson; daughters: Lawrena Jo Wilson, Karla Jo Meeks, Tammi Jo Wilkinson, Ralonda Jo Wilson; grandchildren: Angel, Little Terry, James, Bobby, Little Marty, Mark, Jessica, Leslie, Bobby Jo, David, Dillon, Sam, Luke, Julie, Sandy, Kyla, Preslie, Sonny; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, 1:00 p.m. at AE Funeral Services Chapel, 603 W. Independence St., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804.
