Aletha Jane Misener

Aletha Jane Misener, 86, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025, in a Midwest City hospital. Jane was born on July 15, 1939, to Charles Carl and Hattie Anne Wilkerson on Saddle Mountain near Mt. View, Oklahoma.

At age 16, Aletha married Carl Ray Misener on April 23, 1956, in Atoka, Oklahoma. They had four children during their marriage. She was a cross-country truck driver as Carl’s backup. Her favorite activities were reading, crocheting, knitting, and sewing. After raising her children, she went back to school and studied to become a C.M.A. She retired at age 70.

Jane was predeceased by her parents, spouse, four siblings, and one grandson.

She is survived by her children: Debra of Blossom, Texas, Bruce of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Lora (Yaser) of Sherman Oaks, California, and Ruby Misener of Shawnee, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
